VECTOR X Long Range Shooting

Connectivity is a core feature of VECSS devices. With Firmware Version 182, we’ve extended that capability to include support for the Kestrel 5700 Ballistics Weather Meter with Hornady 4DOF, as well as the E-DOPE from Down Range Systems. These additions reflect our commitment to giving you more flexibility in building your preferred shooting solution.

Kestrel Hornady 4DOF

The VECTOR X now connects with the Kestrel 5700 using Hornady’s 4DOF ballistics engine, in addition to the existing support for the Applied Ballistics Elite version. Kestrel devices remain a trusted tool for long-range shooters due to their ability to combine accurate environmental data with proven ballistic solvers. This update allows users to choose the solution that best fits their workflow without compromise.

DRS E-DOPE

E-DOPE by Down Range Systems (DRS)

E-DOPE is an electronic display used to clearly display target data. Utilizing E-Paper technology the display is sunlight readable at extreme angles. With the VECTOR X you can quickly populate a target card, sync it through the VECSS Mobile App, and from there export the data to the E-DOPE Card — all within a streamlined digital workflow.

Updating Your VECTOR X

To install the firmware update, first update the VECSS Mobile App to version 1.1.0. Then connect your VECTOR X to the app. You’ll be prompted to begin the firmware update process. Keep your phone active during the update and avoid interruptions to ensure a smooth installation.
